Substitute

Tulsa Tech is hiring part-time substitute teachers for classroom assignments at our campus locations, as well as, off-site partner high schools within the district.

Salary Schedule: Standard rate schedule for non-regular (temporary, adjunct, substitute) and regular part-time employees / $15 per hour.

FLSA Qualification: Non-exempt

Reports To: Campus Director; Assistant Campus Director

Supervises: None

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Shift: Days; must have flexible schedule.

Position Purpose: Educate and train students to gain skills, knowledge and behaviors and support their successful entry into the workplace or higher education, in a manner that supports the program within industry and the community and is consistent with District Core Values.

• Provide instruction and effectively manage the classroom in the absence of the full-time instructor.
• Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance as required by District policy and certification agencies.
• Adhere to the daily routine, classroom procedures and schedule provided by the full-time instructor.
• Demonstration effective people skills, communications skills and professionalism.
• Maintain dependable attendance and timely arrival in accordance with scheduled work hours.
• Perform all other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.

Visual Requirements: Close, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus. Hearing/Speaking Requirements: Adequate to exchange information.
