Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a small team building infrastructure for AI-powered products. You will own core platform systems that help the product run reliably at scale, partnering closely with product and engineering teammates to turn open-ended challenges into production-ready solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and operate infrastructure for AI agents and machine learning workloads, including durable long-running jobs and model execution.
• Design, deploy, and maintain containerized services and cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of production systems and databases.
• Lead infrastructure work from architecture and data modeling through implementation, launch, and ongoing iteration.
• Use AI coding tools in your daily workflow to accelerate implementation and problem solving.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Two to ten years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or backend engineering, with demonstrated growth into staff, lead, or similarly broad scope.
• Production experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, Docker, and infrastructure as code using CDK or Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with Temporal or a comparable durable workflow orchestrator, such as Cadence or AWS Step Functions.
• Experience operating cloud infrastructure at significant scale, supporting hundreds of thousands of users, or working with substantial data volumes.
• Strong production database experience, including schema design, scaling, and performance tuning. The stack includes Postgres, Redis, and ClickHouse.
• Startup experience or experience combining large-company and startup environments, along with daily use of AI coding tools.
• Background building infrastructure for AI agents or machine learning workloads is valuable.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary is $200,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
