Software Engineer, Marketplace

ABOUT THE ROLE

Build the infrastructure that supports expert acquisition, onboarding, and matching for an applied AI data company. You will partner closely with the growth team to create tools and systems that help experts get assessed, onboarded, and matched to projects efficiently.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and maintain marketplace systems for expert outreach, interviewing, assessments, and onboarding.
• Develop tools for managing experts and matching them to projects based on fit and availability.
• Automate manual growth workflows and build internal tools that improve operational capacity.
• Work with growth associates to identify funnel bottlenecks, instrument processes, and deliver improvements.
• Explore machine learning driven recommendations to anticipate project staffing needs and automate matching.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Two or more years of full-stack software engineering experience, with a track record of owning and delivering end-to-end systems.
• Proficiency with Node.js or Python and experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience building marketplace, growth infrastructure, or internal tools, ideally in a fast-growing technology company.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, or Elasticsearch is helpful.
• Strong technical fundamentals and a degree from a recognized university.
• Authorized to work in the United States without relying on student visa status.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary is $250,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

LOCATION

On-site in San Francisco, California, five days per week.
