Software Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a fintech engineering team building payment infrastructure for nonprofit organizations. You will own backend and full stack systems from architecture through production, with meaningful input into technical decisions and product development.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and operate backend applications and components that power payment workflows, from design through production.
• Contribute to architecture decisions across APIs, backend systems, and infrastructure, and help establish engineering standards.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teammates in technical planning and design discussions.
• Improve real-time monitoring and alerting to better understand product behavior and support iteration.
• Work across the platform on projects spanning backend services and full stack development.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Two to ten years of backend engineering experience, including ownership of scalable systems from design to delivery.
• Proficiency in Go or Node.js and experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, or gRPC.
• Fintech or payments infrastructure experience is valuable.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, with strong computer science fundamentals.
• Experience in a startup or established engineering organization, including an in-person engineering role in the United States.
• Based in the New York metro area or willing to relocate.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary is $180,000 to $230,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
