Software Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a fintech engineering team building payment infrastructure for nonprofit organizations. You will own backend and full-stack systems from architecture through production, with the opportunity to shape technical decisions and product development.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and own backend applications and components that support payment products, from design through production.
• Contribute to architecture decisions across APIs, backend systems, and infrastructure, helping establish engineering standards and best practices.
• Work closely with product and engineering partners on design discussions, technical tradeoffs, and implementation.
• Improve real-time monitoring and alerting to better understand system and user behavior.
• Contribute to projects across the platform, working across backend and full-stack areas.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Two to ten years of backend engineering experience, including ownership of scalable systems from design through launch.
• Proficiency in Go or Node.js, with experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, or gRPC.
• Experience in fintech or payments infrastructure is valuable.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent strong technical fundamentals.
• Experience in a startup or established engineering organization, including an in-person engineering role in the United States.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $180,000 to $230,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
