Senior/Staff Software Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join the platform engineering team at an AI-powered finance automation company. You will build foundational systems used across the product, helping engineering teams deliver reliable financial workflows as the company grows.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and own platform capabilities such as agent frameworks, orchestration, verification, observability, and developer tooling.
• Design data infrastructure that ingests, normalizes, and reconciles information from financial and business systems.
• Work directly with customers and finance teams to understand workflows and turn them into reusable platform capabilities.
• Guide architectural decisions, identify technical bottlenecks, and ship solutions across the stack when needed.
• Lead cross-functional engineering projects that improve the capabilities of the broader team.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Four to twelve years of backend or platform engineering experience, with strong Python skills.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems and data infrastructure, including experience building foundational systems used at scale.
• Experience delivering high-impact engineering projects across teams and into production.
• Ability to build with TypeScript and React when needed, alongside experience with AWS.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, supported by a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience working directly with customers on technical solutions; experience in fintech, accounting, ERP, payments, ledger systems, or enterprise integrations is useful.
• Background in a high-growth technology company, startup, or quantitative technology environment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $180,000 to $270,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
