Senior/Staff Software Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join the platform engineering team at an AI-powered finance automation company. You will build foundational systems that support product development across the organization, helping turn complex finance workflows into reliable software.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and own platform systems for agent frameworks, orchestration, verification, observability, and developer tooling.
• Design data infrastructure to ingest, normalize, and reconcile information from financial and business systems.
• Work directly with customers and finance leaders to understand workflows and develop reusable platform solutions.
• Make architectural decisions in ambiguous environments, identify bottlenecks, and deliver full-stack work when needed.
• Lead cross-functional engineering projects that improve the capabilities of the broader team.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Four to twelve years of backend or platform engineering experience, primarily with Python.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems and data infrastructure, with experience building foundational systems that scale across teams.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and React for full-stack development, plus experience with AWS.
• Fluency with AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar.
• Experience delivering high-impact, cross-functional projects in production and communicating technical solutions directly with customers.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and experience in a high-growth technology company, startup, or quantitative firm.
• Fintech, accounting, ERP, payments, ledger, enterprise integration, or financial data pipeline experience is valuable.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $180,000 to $270,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
