Senior/Staff Software Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join the platform engineering team at an AI-powered finance automation company. You will build foundational systems that support product development across the organization, from agent orchestration to trusted financial data infrastructure.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and own platform capabilities such as agent frameworks, orchestration, verification, observability, and developer tools.
• Design data infrastructure to ingest, normalize, and reconcile information from financial and business systems.
• Work with customers and finance professionals to understand workflows and turn them into reusable platform capabilities.
• Guide architecture and technical decisions, identify bottlenecks, and deliver full-stack solutions when needed.
• Lead cross-functional engineering projects that improve the capabilities of the wider team.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Four to twelve years of backend or platform engineering experience, with strong Python skills.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems and data infrastructure, and experience building platform or infrastructure systems used at scale.
• Ability to build in TypeScript and React when product work calls for it.
• Experience delivering high-impact engineering projects that scale in production and working across teams.
• Comfort using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and experience in a high-growth technology environment.
• Ability to communicate directly with customers and finance stakeholders about technical solutions.
• Experience with early-stage startups, fintech, accounting, ERP, payments, ledgers, enterprise integrations, or financial data pipelines is valuable.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary is $180,000 to $270,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
