Senior Software Engineer, Design

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a fintech product team as a senior engineer focused on design and frontend craft. You will shape intuitive experiences for complex mortgage workflows, from early design concepts through production implementation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own the end-to-end design process, from wireframes in Figma to implementation in React and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain a scalable design system and component library using shadcn/ui.
• Develop accessible, production-quality React components with appropriate ARIA support, keyboard interactions, and focus management.
• Work with product and engineering partners to turn complex workflows into intuitive user experiences.
• Set and maintain visual and interaction standards that support consistency across the product.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 5 years of experience in design engineering or frontend-leaning software engineering, including senior-level experience shipping production code.
• Strong production experience with React and TypeScript, plus familiarity with Vite, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, GraphQL, Apollo Client, and Turborepo.
• Experience defining a design system's visual language, interaction patterns, and component strategy, supported by a solid frontend engineering background.
• Strong Figma skills, including libraries, variants, and auto-layout, and a portfolio demonstrating polished visual and interaction design.
• Experience building complex, data-dense interfaces in a growth-oriented, design-forward B2B SaaS or consumer product environment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary range: $150,000 to $350,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
