Senior Software Engineer, Customer Studio Backend

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a product-focused backend team building a no-code platform that helps organizations activate warehouse data. You will shape backend systems and product experiences as the team expands capabilities for audience creation, analytics, and real-time data workflows.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design and build scalable, reliable backend systems for customer-facing data activation features.
• Improve data warehouse performance through query optimization, precomputed state, and warehouse-specific approaches.
• Develop analytics and experimentation capabilities that help customers create and evaluate audiences.
• Explore real-time audience computation and syncing as data platforms adopt change data capture and fresher data patterns.
• Partner on product specifications, engage with customers, and use feedback to improve workflows, including opportunities to apply generative AI.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Typically 6 to 15 years of backend engineering experience, including designing systems at high-growth technology companies.
• Senior-level experience, with a track record of increasing scope and responsibility.
• Strong backend and distributed systems fundamentals, with sound judgment around architecture, scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
• A product-minded approach, including interest in customer conversations, product specifications, and iteration based on feedback.
• Modern technology experience and strong communication skills; a degree in computer science, mathematics, or electrical engineering, or equivalent fundamentals.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $180,000 to $320,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
