ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a customer-facing product engineering team building command-and-control and autonomy software for robotic and unmanned systems. You will help deliver cloud and edge capabilities that connect sensors, platforms, and intelligent decision-making in operational environments.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design, build, and optimize mission-critical software for autonomous systems.
- Develop real-time services that process data from diverse sensors for state estimation and threat detection.
- Build integrations with sensors, effectors, and autonomous platforms.
- Develop AI- and LLM-enabled systems that support threat assessment and operational decisions.
- Engineer reliable, scalable, and fail-safe systems for high-stakes environments.
- Collaborate with robotics, hardware, sensing, and systems engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Four to ten years of hands-on backend or service-layer software engineering experience.
- Experience owning backend services such as APIs, microservices, or middleware, and building real-time messaging between external systems.
- Proficiency in Rust, Python, C++, or Java, with a technical degree in computer science, robotics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Professional experience in autonomy, robotics, drones, autonomous vehicles, or factory automation, along with experience shipping software from prototype to field use.
- Practical software engineering experience beyond algorithm development, simulation, or ML research; exposure to LLM systems, AI agents, or toolchains is useful.
- Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship and eligible for security clearance.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $145,000 to $275,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
