Senior Security Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a growing AI-focused fintech company as a hands-on Senior Security Engineer, owning and advancing application security in a regulated banking environment. This individual contributor role combines deep technical work with opportunities to grow into technical leadership.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and mature application security tooling, processes, and secure software development practices that fit naturally into engineering workflows.
• Partner with engineering teams to secure AI agent workflows, protect data privacy, and address AI-specific vulnerabilities.
• Automate detection and vulnerability management processes to reduce manual security work.
• Lead incident response and turn incidents into lasting improvements to systems and processes.
• Support compliance and customer trust work, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and bank security requirements.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Four to eight years of application security experience, including hands-on product security work such as secure code reviews, threat modeling, penetration testing, or security tooling.
• A bachelor's degree in a technical field and strong software engineering fundamentals.
• A current individual contributor who enjoys hands-on technical work and has primarily focused on application or product security, rather than GRC, IT, network security, or detection operations.
• Experience working in a fast-growing startup or hypergrowth environment; fintech or regulated B2B SaaS experience is valuable.
• Familiarity with TypeScript or JavaScript, AWS or GCP, DevSecOps, secure SDLC practices, IAM, and AI or LLM security.
• Cloud security fundamentals; experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or building a security program is a plus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $190,000 to $250,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
