Original job description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an AI and engineering software team building tools that help users design physical systems. You will contribute to product development from early ideas through production, with strong ownership and an emphasis on using AI coding agents effectively.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Collaborate with a frontend engineer to improve the product interface and accelerate delivery.
- Build and ship features across the stack, with an increasing focus on backend systems and infrastructure.
- Own work end to end, from architecture through deployment and reliability.
- Establish practical approaches for agent-driven software development across the team.
- Partner with product-facing engineers and AI researchers to prototype and refine ideas for industrial users.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Three to ten years of software engineering experience, including full-stack web product development.
- Strong backend skills and solid frontend capabilities, including experience with React and TypeScript; .NET experience is relevant.
- Hands-on experience building products or major features from concept through production, ideally in an early-stage startup environment.
- Experience owning architecture, deployment, and reliability, and adapting to changing priorities.
- Comfort using AI coding agents extensively and debugging their output.
- Interest in physical systems, engineering design, CAD, or simulation; experience outside purely robotics, computer vision, or self-driving domains.
- Based in the United States or Canada and authorized to work there without visa sponsorship.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $200,000 to $275,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
