ABOUT THE ROLE
Join the R&D team at a Series A robotics startup building software for AI-driven robots operating in real production environments. You will work across the robotics stack, helping turn software into reliable performance in customer facilities.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Coordinate real-time robot software, motion-planning optimization systems, and machine-learning pipelines across multiple platforms.
- Build and maintain data-labeling interfaces, perception systems, and compilers for robot intelligence.
- Work across firmware, robotics software, and cloud infrastructure to solve high-priority technical challenges.
- Collaborate with teammates to design, build, and ship systems for capable, flexible robots.
- Deploy software in customer facilities and improve its performance in real-world environments.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- One to three years of software engineering experience in robotics, automation, or embedded systems.
- Experience building and shipping software for physical robotic systems, such as arms, manipulation systems, or autonomous hardware, in production or customer environments.
- Strong programming fundamentals and proficiency in Python; experience with C/C++, TypeScript, or React is useful.
- Hands-on experience with production robotics systems and hardware/software integration; familiarity with ROS, motion planning, or robot optimization is a plus.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and systemd is beneficial.
- A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, robotics, or a related engineering field.
- Experience in a fast-moving startup or other high-ownership environment, and the ability to adapt as priorities change.
