Original job description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Build full-stack products that support a startup accelerator's admissions, events, and internal operations. You'll work closely with operational teams to turn complex workflows into clear, dependable software, owning product decisions from problem discovery through launch.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design, build, and ship full-stack applications for admissions workflows, events, and internal tools.
- Develop event features for registration, coordination, and media handling.
- Integrate with external services such as calendars, chat, email, and data systems.
- Build semantic search and natural-language tools using embeddings and large language models.
- Automate application scheduling, notifications, status tracking, email triage, and deadlines.
- Create internal copilots, dashboards, and analytics that help teams manage workflows and understand pipeline health.
- Work with partners and operations teams to identify process improvements and make pragmatic engineering tradeoffs.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Between 1 and 12 years of experience building and shipping full-stack products.
- Experience owning products end-to-end, including problem definition, interface design, implementation, and deployment.
- Strong frontend and UI skills alongside backend engineering experience.
- Experience building and shipping AI or LLM projects or features, including recent prototypes or side projects.
- Familiarity with Rails, React, PostgreSQL, Python, semantic search, embeddings, or comparable technologies.
- Startup or founding-engineer experience, and the ability to work autonomously in an ambiguous environment.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, demonstrated through education or exceptional projects.
- Experience with internal tools, workflow software, or admissions and CRM systems is useful.
