ABOUT THE ROLE

Build full-stack products that support a venture capital firm's application pipeline, events, and internal operations. This role combines engineering, product design, and operational problem-solving, with ownership from understanding the problem through shipping the solution.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design, build, and ship applications for admissions, events, and internal workflows.
  • Develop event tools for registration, coordination, and media handling.
  • Integrate with external services such as calendars, messaging, email, and data systems.
  • Build semantic search and AI-powered features using large language models, embeddings, and natural language interfaces.
  • Automate application scheduling, notifications, status tracking, email triage, and deadlines.
  • Create dashboards and analytics, and work with operations teams to improve processes and surface useful information.
  • Make product and UX decisions, balancing quality and speed in a changing environment.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 1 to 12 years of experience building and shipping full-stack products, including ownership of problem definition, UI, and deployment.
  • Strong frontend and backend skills, with experience building polished interfaces as well as reliable systems.
  • Experience with Rails, React, and PostgreSQL or comparable technologies, plus Python and integrations with APIs.
  • Recent experience building AI or LLM projects or production features, such as semantic search, embeddings, or workflow copilots.
  • Startup or early-stage company experience, with the ability to work autonomously amid ambiguity and without extensive product direction.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, demonstrated through education or exceptional project work.
