Original job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an AI and computing hardware team developing CMOS chips for probabilistic computing. As a Principal Analog/Mixed-Signal Engineer, you will lead circuit design and help shape architectures for upcoming chip tape-outs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead design of analog and mixed-signal blocks, including ADCs, PLLs, bandgaps, regulators, SerDes, oscillators, and dividers.
  • Own substantial portions of chip architecture and potentially serve as design lead for a chip.
  • Perform hands-on layout and design verification, including DRC, ERC, and LVS.
  • Work with IC, systems, physics, and algorithms teams to translate probabilistic computing concepts into silicon.
  • Help test and validate fabricated chips using lab equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 6 to 20 years of analog and mixed-signal IC design experience, including work on blocks such as PLLs, ADCs, or SerDes.
  • An MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering focused on circuits or IC design.
  • Strong CMOS circuit design expertise and experience completing multiple tape-outs, including at FinFET or 28nm/65nm process nodes.
  • Proficiency with Cadence simulation, including parasitic extraction, Monte Carlo analysis, and process corners.
  • Hands-on layout experience and familiarity with physical verification, including DRC, ERC, and LVS.
  • Experience across circuit types and willingness to take on practical work beyond a narrow specialization.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $200,000 to $325,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
