ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a close-knit legal team handling general defense litigation, primarily premises liability. This is a long-term growth opportunity with mentorship, collaboration with senior attorneys, and a collegial open-door culture.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage a full caseload of defense litigation from inception through resolution.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Work with senior attorneys on trial preparation, legal strategy, and client communications.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and case strategy documents.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Two to seven years of law firm experience handling a full caseload in defense litigation.
• Experience appearing before judges, attending court conferences, and navigating New York courts, including New York City and Long Island jurisdictions.
• Deposition experience, both conducting and defending.
• Background in premises liability or general negligence litigation.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York bar.
• Strong drafting skills across motions, pleadings, and discovery.
• Interest in a collaborative, mentorship-oriented team and long-term professional growth.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $125,000 to $165,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Hybrid role based in New York City, New York, with an in-office onboarding period and flexible hybrid work afterward.
