Litigation Associate

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a close-knit law firm as a Litigation Associate handling general defense matters, primarily premises liability. This is a growth-oriented opportunity with mentorship and direct collaboration with senior attorneys.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage a full caseload of defense litigation from inception through resolution.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Work with senior attorneys on trial preparation, legal strategy, and client communication.
• Draft pleadings, discovery materials, motions, and case strategy documents.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Two to seven years of law firm experience handling a full caseload in defense litigation.
• Admission to the New York bar and a J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Experience appearing before judges and attending court conferences in New York courts, including New York City and Long Island jurisdictions.
• Experience drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery, as well as conducting and defending depositions.
• Background in premises liability or general negligence matters is helpful.
• Interest in a long-term role and a collaborative, mentorship-oriented environment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary is $125,000 to $165,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

LOCATION

Hybrid role based in New York City, New York, with in-office work during onboarding and a flexible hybrid arrangement afterward.
