ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a close-knit legal team handling general defense litigation, primarily premises liability matters. This role offers direct collaboration with senior attorneys, mentorship, and the opportunity to manage cases from inception through resolution.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage a full caseload of general defense litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Represent clients at court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on trial preparation, legal strategy, and client communication.
- Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and case strategy documents.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Two to seven years of law firm experience handling a full caseload in defense litigation.
- Experience appearing before judges and attending court conferences, with familiarity with New York City and Long Island courts.
- Deposition experience, including both conducting and defending depositions.
- Background in premises liability or general negligence litigation.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar.
- Strong drafting skills across motions, pleadings, and discovery.
- Interest in a collaborative, mentorship-oriented team environment and long-term professional growth.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary range: $125,000 to $165,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION
Hybrid role based in New York City, New York, with an in-office onboarding period and flexible hybrid work afterward.
