ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a close-knit legal team handling general defense litigation, primarily premises liability. This role offers hands-on mentorship and the opportunity to manage cases from inception through resolution.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage a full caseload of general defense litigation matters from intake through resolution.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Appear in court and represent clients at mediations and settlement conferences.
- Work with senior attorneys on trial preparation, legal strategy, and client communications.
- Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and case strategy documents.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Two to seven years of law firm experience handling a full caseload in defense litigation.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active admission to the New York bar.
- Experience appearing before judges, attending court conferences, and navigating New York City and Long Island courts.
- Deposition experience, including conducting and defending depositions.
- Background in premises liability or general negligence is helpful.
- Interest in a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment and long-term professional growth.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary range: $125,000 to $165,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION
Hybrid role based in New York City, New York, with in-office work during onboarding and a flexible hybrid arrangement afterward.
