Lead Product Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a lean engineering team building a new internal product for an industrial real estate investment business. As the first product-focused engineer, you will own the front end and help create data-rich tools that support investment decisions across multiple business functions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own and improve the front-end codebase, refactoring early work, establishing a design system, and delivering new features.
• Build user-facing experiences with data visualizations, maps, and AI-powered insights.
• Work directly with internal users to understand workflows, gather requirements, and rapidly test prototypes.
• Use Figma and AI tools to design, prototype, and ship product ideas, and help shape the roadmap with leadership.
• Partner with backend and research colleagues to develop tools for additional business functions.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Four to ten years of frontend-heavy experience building and shipping production applications, including substantial ownership from scoping through deployment.
• Strong experience with React and Next.js, data-intensive products, and visualization such as charts or maps.
• Experience building enterprise products and complete user-facing experiences, not only isolated components or design systems.
• Comfort designing and prototyping with Figma or similar tools, including AI coding and design tools.
• Strong product judgment and experience gathering feedback directly from users and translating it into requirements.
• A computer science degree or equivalent strong technical foundation, with at least two years at a large technology company or growth-stage startup.
• Experience in real estate or a related data-intensive industry is relevant.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $225,000 to $275,000 annually. Existing transferable visas are accepted; new visa sponsorship is not available.

LOCATION

On-site in New York, New York, four to five days per week.
