Lead Product Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a lean, senior product and engineering team building internal software for an industrial real estate investment business. As the first product-focused engineer, you will lead front-end development for a new product that helps teams make more informed investment decisions in a technology-enabled, data-intensive market.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own and improve the front-end codebase, establish a design system and reusable components, and deliver new product features.
• Build data-rich interfaces with visualizations, maps, and AI-powered insights for sourcing and leasing workflows.
• Work directly with internal users to understand processes, clarify requirements, and test prototypes with rapid feedback.
• Use design and AI tools to prototype ideas, propose features, and help shape the product roadmap with leadership.
• Partner with engineering and research leads to develop tools for additional business functions.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Four to ten years of front-end-heavy experience building and shipping production applications, including substantial product ownership from scoping through deployment.
• Strong experience with React and Next.js, enterprise software, and data-intensive user experiences such as charts, maps, and data visualization.
• Experience designing and prototyping interfaces with Figma or similar tools, and using AI coding or design tools to build and ship features quickly.
• Ability to work independently, engage directly with users and stakeholders, and turn feedback into clear product requirements.
• A computer science degree or equivalent strong CS foundation, with at least two years at a large technology company or top-tier growth-stage startup.
• A consistent engineering career path and experience shipping complete user-facing products.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $225,000 to $275,000 annually. Candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization. New visa sponsorship is not available, but existing transferable visas are accepted.

LOCATION

On-site in New York, New York, four to five days per week.
