Lead Product Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a lean, senior team building internal products for an industrial real estate investment business. As the first product-focused engineer on this initiative, you will own the front end and help teams make better-informed investment decisions through data-rich, AI-enabled tools.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own and improve the early front-end codebase, establish a design system and reusable components, then deliver new features.
• Build user-facing experiences with charts, maps, and AI-powered insights for sourcing and leasing workflows.
• Work directly with internal users to understand their processes, summarize requirements, and test prototypes quickly.
• Use design and AI tools to prototype interfaces, propose product ideas, and help shape the roadmap with leadership.
• Partner with backend and infrastructure engineering and quantitative research to develop tools for additional business functions.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Four or more years of front-end-heavy experience building and shipping production applications, with meaningful ownership from scoping through deployment.
• Strong experience with React and Next.js, plus data visualization or other data-intensive product interfaces.
• Experience building enterprise products and shipping complete user-facing products, not only isolated components or design systems.
• Comfort using Figma or similar tools and AI coding or design tools to prototype and deliver features quickly.
• Strong product judgment and the ability to work independently, engage users directly, and turn feedback into clear requirements.
• A coherent engineering career path, strong computer science fundamentals, and experience on a high-caliber engineering team.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary is $225,000 to $275,000 annually. Candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization. New visa sponsorship is not available; existing transferable visas are accepted.

LOCATION

On-site in New York, New York, four to five days per week.
