Founding Senior Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an early-stage AI company building an intelligent growth platform for consumer brands. As a hands-on player-coach, you will own core product and infrastructure work while helping shape engineering practices and architecture.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build data infrastructure that tracks merchant lifecycle events and helps identify which actions drive outcomes.
• Develop an agentic growth system that evaluates operations, recommends changes, and automates execution.
• Own full-stack development of the growth engine, with a focus on backend systems and infrastructure.
• Build and maintain reliable integrations with commerce, advertising, and marketing platforms.
• Mentor engineers while remaining actively involved in day-to-day development.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Five to eight years of full-stack engineering experience, with strong backend skills in data infrastructure, event systems, and API integrations.
• Experience building and owning production-grade LLM-powered or agentic systems that integrate with third-party APIs.
• Experience with Python, TypeScript, LLMs, and commerce or marketing integrations such as Shopify, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, or email service providers.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers, and the judgment to prioritize work and create structure in ambiguous, early-stage environments.
• Background building products from an early stage or working at a growing startup, with strong communication skills.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $175,000 to $225,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
