Founding Senior Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an early-stage AI company building growth tools for consumer brands. As a hands-on technical leader, you will help shape the engineering foundations and product while contributing to a small team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build data infrastructure to track merchant lifecycle events and connect actions with outcomes.
• Develop systems that assess growth operations, identify opportunities, and automate improvements.
• Own full-stack development of the growth product, with a focus on backend systems and infrastructure.
• Build and maintain reliable integrations with commerce, advertising, and marketing platforms.
• Help establish engineering practices and architecture while mentoring teammates and shipping code.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Five to eight years of full-stack engineering experience, with strong backend expertise in data infrastructure, event systems, or API integrations.
• Experience building and owning production-grade LLM-powered or agentic systems that integrate with third-party APIs.
• Working knowledge of Python, TypeScript, LLMs, and commerce or marketing APIs such as Shopify, advertising platforms, or email service providers.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers, and the ability to prioritize effectively and create structure in ambiguous settings.
• Background in an early-stage startup, including experience building products or systems from the ground up.
• Strong communication skills and a consistent record of sustained roles.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $175,000 to $225,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
