Founding Senior Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an early-stage AI company building software that helps consumer brands manage and optimize growth operations. As the second engineer, you will ship product hands-on while shaping the technical foundations and mentoring a fellow engineer.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build data infrastructure that tracks merchant lifecycle events and connects actions to outcomes.
• Develop agentic systems that assess growth operations, recommend changes, and execute them automatically.
• Own full-stack development of the growth engine, with a strong focus on backend systems and infrastructure.
• Build reliable integrations with commerce and advertising platforms, along with orchestration tooling.
• Help establish engineering practices and architecture while mentoring teammates and contributing code daily.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Five to eight years of full-stack engineering experience, with strong backend experience in data infrastructure, event systems, or API integrations.
• Production experience building and owning LLM-powered or agentic systems integrated with third-party APIs.
• Experience with Python, TypeScript, LLMs, and commerce or marketing integrations such as Shopify, advertising APIs, or email platforms.
• Experience at a startup during its growth stage, or a strong engineering education in place of that startup background.
• Experience mentoring or leading one or two engineers, and the ability to prioritize work and create structure in ambiguous settings.
• Early-stage or founding engineering experience and clear communication skills are valued.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $175,000 to $225,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
