Founding Product Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an early-stage healthtech team building AI-powered tools for clinical trial recruitment and patient support. As a founding product engineer, you will help shape the product and build full-stack features that connect patients with relevant clinical studies.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and orchestrate AI agents that support patient recruitment across clinical trials.
• Develop matching systems that use patient profiles and real-world outcomes to identify relevant trials.
• Scale conversational experiences across voice, SMS, and email while maintaining consistent, personalized interactions.
• Integrate the product with healthcare and research systems, including legacy tools without public APIs.
• Own product improvements end to end, from design and implementation through deployment and customer feedback.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• One to six years of software engineering experience building products for real users.
• Full-stack experience across frontend, backend, and infrastructure, with a track record of shipping user-facing products end to end.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and Python; experience with Next.js, AWS, Terraform, and Docker is relevant.
• Strong computer science or related technical fundamentals, supported by an undergraduate degree in a relevant field or comparable experience.
• Experience in an early-stage or high-growth product environment, with high ownership and the ability to lead projects independently.
• Healthcare or life sciences technology experience is valuable; an interest in clinical research and patient engagement is important.
• Ability to work effectively both with and without AI coding tools.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $170,000 to $220,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
