Founding Product Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a small team building AI coding agents and software for financial research. As the first engineering hire, you will help mature the core product and work directly with customers to turn research needs into reliable, tailored tools.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and improve coding agents that create custom data pipelines, scrapers, and dashboards.
• Manage remote development environments and infrastructure for customer deployments.
• Work with customers to understand research goals and deliver tailored software solutions.
• Take features from initial design and scoping through implementation and delivery.
• Develop agent skills, tool libraries, and scaffolding that expand platform capabilities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Two to four years of full-stack product engineering experience, with work shipped end-to-end across frontend, backend, and data.
• Experience delivering applied product engineering, rather than research-only work.
• Proficiency with Python, React, SQL, PostgreSQL, and DuckDB, plus experience with LLMs or agent frameworks.
• Experience building LLM-powered applications or coding agents, and engineering data pipelines using web scraping, API integrations, and ETL.
• Customer-facing engineering experience, including translating requirements into shipped products.
• A background in finance, investing, or financial data products is valuable.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related STEM field, with strong academic and engineering fundamentals.
• Demonstrated initiative through shipped projects, open-source contributions, technical writing, or meaningful startup impact.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary is $165,000 to $210,000 per year. Visa sponsorship is available.
