Founding Product Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an early-stage healthtech team building AI-powered tools for clinical trial patient recruitment. You will shape and ship product experiences that help research teams connect patients with relevant trials and support them throughout the process.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and improve user-facing product features, taking projects from design and implementation through deployment and customer feedback.
• Develop and coordinate AI agents that support recruitment across multiple clinical trials.
• Build machine learning capabilities to match patient profiles with clinical trials using real-world outcomes.
• Scale conversational AI across voice, SMS, and email while maintaining consistent, personalized interactions.
• Integrate with existing clinical research systems, including legacy tools with limited API support.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• One to six years of software engineering experience building products for real users.
• Full-stack experience across frontend, backend, and infrastructure, with a track record of shipping end-to-end projects.
• Experience with TypeScript, Python, Next.js, Terraform, AWS, and Docker.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, supported by an undergraduate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience delivering user-facing features and gathering feedback directly from customers.
• Background as a founder, founding engineer, or early engineer at a startup, or experience at a later-stage technology company.
• Healthcare or life sciences technology experience is helpful. Shareable open-source work or side projects are also welcome.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $170,000 to $220,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available. Equity details were not provided.
