ABOUT THE ROLE
A Series A industrial R&D software company is seeking a Founding PLM Solutions Engineer to lead the technical narrative in enterprise deals and help shape how new product lifecycle management solutions are positioned. You will work closely with product and company leadership, building the solutions engineering approach as the product and market develop.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead technical discovery and deliver value-driven demonstrations for enterprise PLM opportunities.
- Own the technical narrative across deals, shaping product positioning and how solutions are presented to prospective customers.
- Develop demo environments, messaging, and go-to-market narratives as new products take shape.
- Partner with product teams and leadership in feedback loops that inform roadmap and positioning.
- Help establish the solutions engineering playbook and build traction in an emerging market.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Five to eight years of experience as a PLM Solutions Engineer or in a closely related technical customer-facing role.
- Deep expertise in process PLM and/or discrete PLM, with particular strength in process PLM.
- PLM experience gained in a software, implementation, consulting, manufacturing, or industrial technical sales environment.
- Hands-on experience with a PLM platform such as Teamcenter, Windchill, Enovia/3DEXPERIENCE, Arena, Aras, Propel, or Oracle Agile.
- A track record of owning technical discovery, enterprise demonstrations, and compelling, value-led sales narratives.
- Experience with product data, bills of materials, or engineering change-management workflows is valuable.
- Willingness to travel three to four days per month and to Europe every other quarter.
- Motivation to take ownership and help build an approach from the ground up.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary range: $120,000 to $200,000 USD annually. Equity upside is part of the opportunity. Visa sponsorship is available.
LOCATION
Remote, with San Francisco, California as the primary location.
