Founding Fullstack Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an early-stage AI company as its first in-person engineering hire in New York. You will own the core systems around AI agents, connecting business platforms and logistics partners so wholesale operations can run reliably.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Take customer-facing features from discovery through design, implementation, and production.
• Design secure, auditable data models and event-driven pipelines that support agent workflows.
• Build internal and external APIs and a real-time operator console for operational visibility.
• Develop integrations with ERP systems, logistics providers, retailers, and freight partners.
• Build resilient synchronization systems and establish observability, SLOs, and on-call practices.
• Work across backend, data engineering, and frontend systems wherever you can have the greatest impact.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Two to six years of software engineering experience, including hands-on product engineering at a startup or small team.
• A strong full-stack foundation and experience building robust, reliable production systems outside consultancy.
• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, Tailwind, Postgres, queues or streams, and AWS or GCP.
• Product intuition and systems thinking, with attention to both developer and operator experience.
• Startup or small-team experience, or fewer than five years working exclusively at large technology companies.
• Strong early-career signals such as rigorous technical training, experience at a high-growth startup, or a brief period at a large technology company.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary is $160,000 to $250,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

LOCATION

On-site in New York City, five days a week. Candidates must be willing to work on-site or relocate.
