Founding Forward Deployed Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join the customer-facing engineering team at an AI company serving manufacturing and supply chain operations. You will build and deploy AI-powered workflows with customers, taking solutions from discovery through production and helping shape the deployment approach as the team grows.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Work with customer IT, procurement, and supply chain teams to identify and scope new workflows and use cases.
• Build and ship production code in customer environments, designing solutions that can scale across deployments.
• Lead technical deployments from discovery through go-live and own outcomes such as inventory, sourcing efficiency, and forecast accuracy.
• Travel to customer facilities, including internationally, to work alongside operators and support adoption.
• Bring customer feedback and field learnings to platform engineering to improve future deployments.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• One to five years of customer-facing full-stack or forward-deployed engineering experience, with a strong software engineering foundation.
• Experience owning customer deployments and shipping production systems in enterprise environments at a growth-stage technology company.
• Ability to clarify ambiguous problems, gather technical requirements, scope end-to-end workflows, and deliver solutions to production.
• Working knowledge of Python or a similar language, SQL, APIs, enterprise data, and related systems such as ERP platforms.
• Comfort working independently in an early-stage environment, communicating clearly, and identifying additional use cases with customers.
• Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, or supply chain operations is valuable. A strong computer science foundation is expected.
• Willingness to travel internationally, primarily to Europe and Asia, approximately 15% to 30% of the time.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $175,000 to $255,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

LOCATION

On-site in San Francisco, California, five days per week.
