ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage AI software team building agents for customer lifecycle workflows. As the founding Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with enterprise customers to take solutions from initial scoping through production deployment, then bring field learnings back into the product.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work with customers to understand onboarding, adoption, and renewal processes and identify where AI agents can help.
- Connect agents to customer systems and data sources, including data warehouses and CRM platforms, and configure SSO and integrations.
- Build evaluations using customer data, improve agent performance, and validate quality before deployment.
- Partner with go-to-market teams on technical discovery, activation, and account growth.
- Turn customer feedback into product improvements, including fixing platform gaps when needed.
- Debug production deployments, investigate issues, and perform root cause analysis.
- Deliver focused end-to-end implementations that demonstrate value and can be expanded over time.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Three to seven years of experience in customer-facing software engineering, forward deployed engineering, or solutions engineering.
- Experience owning technical customer deployments and building and deploying LLM agents, including prompts, evaluations, and complex, long-running agents.
- Strong Python and FastAPI backend skills, along with React frontend experience.
- Experience with startups or customer-facing deployments, ideally in an early-stage, high-growth environment.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, stable tenure across roles, and a recent record of growth or promotion.
- Experience working with customers in a hybrid setting in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship is required.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $180,000 to $230,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
