Founding Forward Deployed Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an early-stage B2B SaaS team building AI-powered tools for revenue workflows. You will lead technical deployments for enterprise customers, turning complex data environments and business knowledge into reliable data models and production agent workflows.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead customer onboarding, scope data access, explore warehouse schemas, and map data to business concepts such as churn, expansion, and recurring revenue.
• Build and validate semantic models by interviewing stakeholders, resolving differing definitions, and encoding agreed metrics in verified SQL.
• Deploy platform workflows and agent pipelines in customer environments, then monitor their performance and business outcomes.
• Manage multiple customer engagements, balancing direct collaboration with customer teams and focused data engineering work.
• Use internal agent tools and share feedback on evaluation guardrails, validation frameworks, and agent infrastructure.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Two to five years of experience in forward deployed engineering, data science, or customer-facing software engineering.
• Experience owning end-to-end customer deployments and independently shipping and troubleshooting production data systems or pipelines.
• Strong SQL and data warehouse skills, including the ability to navigate undocumented or legacy schemas and validate results.
• Proficiency with relevant tools and concepts such as dbt, Python, LLMs, AI agents, signal engineering, and evaluation frameworks.
• A quantitative STEM background, with experience or education in data science, machine learning, statistics, mathematics, or applied mathematics.
• Customer-facing experience, sound technical judgment, and comfort with detailed, repetitive data verification work in a startup, consulting, or similarly hands-on environment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $180,000 to $250,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

LOCATION

On-site in New York, New York, five days per week.
