ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage healthtech team as its third engineer, working closely with the founders. You will help support and improve AI-powered clinical conversation simulations used in education, then grow into broader full-stack product development.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own technical customer support across AI simulations, learning management, field experience, and compliance products.
- Respond to support requests from faculty, students, and university administrators through email, calls, and other channels.
- Diagnose issues, resolve customer problems, and take on increasingly complex cases as you ramp up.
- Build automations and internal tools to reduce support work and help the team scale.
- Ship full-stack product features used by students and faculty.
- Contribute to product decisions, system architecture, engineering culture, and AI-agent workflows.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Zero to four years of experience in software engineering, full-stack development, or forward-deployed engineering.
- Experience as a founder, on a founding team, or at an early-stage startup.
- A software engineering background that is not primarily focused on Android development.
- Ability to work autonomously and make progress without a detailed daily task list.
- Experience with full-stack development, AI agents, LLMs, or automation.
- EdTech experience or familiarity with university environments is a plus.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary is $160,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
LOCATION
On-site in New York, New York, five days per week.
