Original job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an early-stage healthtech team as its third engineer, working directly with the founders. You will help support and improve AI-powered clinical conversation simulations used in education, while building tools and product features that make the team more effective.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Own technical customer support across AI simulations, learning management, field experience, and compliance products.
Respond to support requests from educators, students, and university administrators, troubleshooting issues through email and customer calls.
Build automations and internal tools to reduce support volume and help the team scale.
Transition into full-stack product development, shipping features used by students and faculty.
Contribute to product decisions, system architecture, engineering culture, and AI-agent workflows.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Zero to four years of experience in software engineering, full-stack development, or forward-deployed engineering.
Experience as a founder, on a founding team, or at an early-stage startup.
A broad software engineering background, with full-stack skills and familiarity with AI agents, LLMs, and automation.
Comfort working autonomously in a fast-moving environment without a detailed daily task list.
Experience in education technology or working with universities is helpful.
This role is suited to an early-career engineer and is not focused on Android development.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary is $160,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

LOCATION

On-site, five days per week in New York, New York.
