Founding AI Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an early-stage B2B SaaS team building a real-time AI voice agent for sales conversations. You will lead the agent's technical direction and help develop a product that joins live calls, runs browser-based demos, and follows up with prospects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build the agent's reasoning, tool use, and memory, including ways to recover when live conversations go off script while meeting low-latency requirements.
• Create evaluation pipelines and work with call data to measure and improve agent performance, using fine-tuning where useful.
• Improve the reliability of browser-based product demos conducted during live sales conversations.
• Ship product features end to end with TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js.
• Work directly with customers and design partners to shape product development.
• Set technical direction for models and methods, and decide what to build or buy.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Typically 4 to 7 years of AI engineering experience, with a technical degree or equivalent background in a field such as math, physics, or engineering.
• Hands-on experience shipping AI agents in production and owning their lifecycle, including evaluations, observability, and cost optimization.
• At least one year of experience with real-time or voice AI systems, such as WebRTC, LiveKit, or streaming applications.
• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js, plus browser automation tools such as Playwright.
• Background in voice AI, AI sales, browser agents, sales technology, or customer-facing engineering at a startup or other fast-growing technology company.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $200,000 to $250,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
