ABOUT THE ROLE

Build and lead the core AI voice agent for a growing B2B SaaS product. As a founding engineer on the team, you will shape the agent's technical direction and help it conduct live sales conversations, demonstrate products through a browser, and follow up with prospects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Build the agent's reasoning, tool use, and memory, including reliable recovery when conversations go off script under real-time latency constraints.
  • Develop evaluation pipelines and work with call data to drive measurable improvements, including fine-tuning where it is effective.
  • Improve browser-agent reliability for live product demonstrations while the agent is speaking with buyers.
  • Ship end-to-end product capabilities using TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js.
  • Work directly with customers and design partners, and set direction on models, architecture, and build-versus-buy decisions.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Four to seven years of AI engineering experience, including shipping production AI agents and owning their full workflow.
  • At least one year working with real-time or voice AI systems, such as WebRTC, LiveKit, streaming, or other low-latency applications.
  • Experience with voice AI, AI sales, browser agents, browser automation, or a fast-growing AI company.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js, with familiarity in LLM APIs, evaluations, observability, and cost optimization.
  • Experience with Playwright or similar browser automation tools is valuable.
  • A computer science degree or a strong technical background in a field such as mathematics, physics, or engineering.
  • Customer-facing engineering experience, startup or founding-team experience, or exposure to sales technology and go-to-market tools is a plus.
  • Must be based in New York or able to relocate there from the start.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary is $200,000 to $250,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available. Equity details were not provided.
