Forward Deployed AI Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an engineering team building AI workflow automation for the insurance industry. This hands-on, customer-facing role combines software development with post-sales discovery, turning enterprise brokerage needs into deployed solutions and scalable platform improvements.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own customer implementations from requirements gathering through deployment.
• Build and ship AI agents and automations, often within a week of scoping a customer need.
• Work directly with enterprise customers after the sale to understand workflows and define technical solutions.
• Bring successful customer-specific solutions into the core platform.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to turn customer insights into reusable features.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Three to six years of software engineering experience in forward-deployed, implementation, solutions, or product engineering roles.
• Production engineering experience shipping customer-facing features or automations, with a strong balance of coding and customer scoping.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript, with full-stack development experience.
• Experience at a venture-backed startup and comfort working in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong customer communication, ownership, and ability to switch between discovery conversations and focused coding.
• Experience delivering post-sales customer solutions on a rapid timeline.
• AI/ML or LLM automation experience in production is a plus, as is familiarity with insurance or financial services.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $180,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
