ABOUT THE ROLE
Join the finance team at a venture capital and private equity firm as its second finance hire. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will oversee fund finance across multiple funds and lead the rollout of an AI-enabled fund administration platform.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage fund accounting, limited partner reporting, and capital account statements across multiple funds.
- Implement and calibrate an AI-enabled fund administration platform.
- Automate recurring finance workflows using tools and systems that make processes more efficient.
- Maintain accurate investment data, valuations, and portfolio company records.
- Support strategic finance projects alongside the Head of Finance.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Three to six years of experience in fund accounting, fund administration, fund operations, investment fund audit, or venture capital or private equity finance.
- Experience with fund accounting and producing limited partner reporting, including quarterly reports and capital account statements.
- Strong understanding of capital calls, distributions, net asset value, management fees, and fund financial statements.
- Experience automating or rebuilding finance workflows, using tools such as Excel macros, Power Query, SQL, Python, Airtable, or AI tools.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Interest in deep tech, science, or impact-oriented work.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary is $133,000 to $160,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
LOCATION
On-site, five days per week in San Francisco, California, United States.
