ABOUT THE ROLE
Join the finance team of a venture capital and private equity firm as its second finance hire. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will oversee fund finance across multiple funds and lead the implementation of an AI-enabled fund administration platform.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage fund accounting, limited partner reporting, and capital account statements across multiple funds.
- Lead implementation and calibration of an AI-enabled fund administration platform.
- Automate recurring finance workflows using tools and systems suited to the task.
- Maintain accurate investment data, valuations, and portfolio company records.
- Support strategic projects with the Head of Finance, including office acquisitions and cross-portfolio work.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Three to six years of experience in fund accounting, fund administration, fund operations, investment fund audit, or venture capital or private equity finance.
- Experience producing quarterly limited partner reporting and capital account statements.
- Strong understanding of capital calls, distributions, NAV, management fees, and fund financial statements.
- Demonstrated experience automating or rebuilding finance workflows.
- Working knowledge of tools such as Excel macros, Power Query, SQL, Python, Airtable, or AI tools.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Interest in deep tech, science, or impact.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $133,000 to $160,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
LOCATION
On-site, five days per week in San Francisco, California.
