Engineering Lead

ABOUT THE ROLE

Lead the engineering team building an AI context platform for a collaborative data and analytics product. The platform helps users understand how AI agents work with their data, diagnose quality issues, and improve the context that supports better outcomes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead the team responsible for developing and improving the context platform.
• Set technical direction, review designs, and contribute hands-on to engineering work.
• Manage and support engineers, setting a high bar while helping them do their best work.
• Recruit and grow a strong engineering team.
• Guide solutions for diagnosing agent reasoning failures, structuring business context, and combining human input with automated improvement.
• Help integrate the context platform with AI tools and workflows.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 6 years of full-stack software engineering experience, including 2 or more years as an engineering manager.
• Experience managing teams of 3 to 15 software engineers.
• Recent hands-on experience building an agentic or AI-native product.
• Proficiency with TypeScript; experience with React, Postgres, and Python is valuable.
• Experience leading engineering for a technical product, ideally in a high-growth startup or a data, developer tools, or technical workspace environment.
• Strong full-stack background beyond a primary focus on mobile, infrastructure, or analytics.
• A computer science degree, equivalent technical degree, or comparable technical foundation.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $221,000 to $295,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

LOCATION

Hybrid, based in San Francisco, California. The role requires working from the office twice a week.
