Engineering Lead

ABOUT THE ROLE

Lead a hands-on engineering team building a context platform for an AI-powered analytics workspace. The platform helps users understand how AI agents work with their data, diagnose quality issues, and improve the business context that supports better outcomes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead the team responsible for building and improving the context platform.
• Set technical direction, review designs, and contribute directly to engineering work.
• Manage and support engineers, setting a high bar while helping them do their best work.
• Recruit and develop strong engineering talent.
• Help address challenges in evaluating agent reasoning, managing business context, and combining human feedback with automated improvement.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 6 years of full-stack software engineering experience, including 2 or more years as an engineering manager.
• Experience managing teams of 3 to 15 engineers.
• Recent, hands-on experience building an agentic or AI-native product.
• Proficiency in TypeScript; experience with React, PostgreSQL, and Python is valuable.
• Background leading engineering for a technical product, ideally in a high-growth startup or a product-oriented data, analytics, or developer tools environment.
• Strong technical fundamentals, demonstrated through a computer science or equivalent technical degree or comparable experience.
• Experience working in an office at least twice weekly and a track record of sustained tenure in engineering roles.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary range: $221,000 to $295,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available. Equity details were not provided.

LOCATION

Hybrid, based in San Francisco, California. The team works in the office twice a week.
