ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a trial-focused civil litigation practice as an Associate with 7 or more years of experience, or as a Partner. You will manage matters from inception through trial and build substantial hands-on courtroom experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Handle civil litigation matters from inception through trial.
- Draft discovery requests and responses, and prepare substantive motions.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Participate in trials as first or second chair.
- Work directly with clients, insurance carriers, and claims handlers.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 7 years of post-bar experience in civil litigation or transferable courtroom work.
- Active admission to the New York State Bar.
- Experience with insurance defense litigation, motion practice, and depositions.
- Strong legal writing skills, supported by a writing sample.
- A demonstrated interest in trial work and readiness to handle courtroom responsibilities.
- Ability to meet a 2,000 billable-hour requirement and commute to the office five days per week.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary range: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION
On-site in Fishkill, New York. This role requires working from the office five days per week.
