Weed Sprayer

Immediate Opening | Full-Time or Seasonal

Towner County is seeking a dependable and motivated individual to fill the position of Weed Sprayer, with an immediate start date.

This position offers flexibility based on the successful applicants availability and may be structured as either a full-time, benefited position or a seasonal position.

Position Responsibilities

The Weed Sprayer will assist with Towner Countys weed control program, including:

• Operating weed-spraying equipment and county vehicles
• Identifying and treating noxious weeds throughout Towner County
• Mixing, handling, and applying herbicides in accordance with applicable laws and safety requirements
• Maintaining spraying equipment and completing routine equipment checks
• Keeping accurate records of spraying activities and chemical applications
• Working independently and efficiently throughout the county
• Performing other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a valid drivers license and be able to safely operate vehicles and equipment. Previous agricultural, spraying, equipment operation, or weed-control experience is preferred but not required. Applicants must be currently in possession of or be willing to obtain a commercial pesticide applicator certification.

The successful applicant should be dependable, safety-conscious, able to work independently, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: DOE, up to $45,000 annually for full-time employment.

The position may be filled as:

• Full-time with Towner County employee benefits , or
• Seasonal employment , depending upon the applicants availability and the needs of the County.
