Store-Based with Regional Travel Retail Support Role
At Micro Center, we're more than a retailer. We're at the forefront of innovation, helping customers explore the latest in AI, advanced computing, 3D printing, robotics, and emerging maker technologies. Our success is built on a simple promise: take care of our associates and customers.
We are seeking a self-motivated, relationship-driven Regional Human Resources Manager to support multiple retail locations throughout the Midwest and Western United States. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys partnering directly with store leaders, supporting associates in the field, navigating employee relations, and traveling to make a meaningful impact on culture, engagement, and business results.
As a trusted HR business partner, you will work closely with retail leadership to foster an exceptional associate experience, develop talent, strengthen leadership capabilities, and ensure our people practices support both operational excellence and continued growth.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary HR business partner for multiple retail store locations.
- Build strong relationships with store leaders and associates through regular site visits and hands-on support.
- Provide guidance and coaching on employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, corrective action, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
- Monitor associate engagement and workplace culture, identifying opportunities to improve retention, morale, and overall effectiveness.
- Partner with leadership teams to develop and execute talent strategies that support business objectives.
- Identify high-potential talent and support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
- Analyze workforce metrics and trends to provide recommendations that drive informed people decisions.
- Support recruiting and retention efforts to attract and retain top talent.
- Facilitate training programs, workshops, and leadership development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and HR best practices.
- Act as a trusted advisor and change agent during organizational and business initiatives.
- This position will be based out of a store with regular travel to support around 7-9 assigned store locations throughout the Midwest and Western United States.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with a strong focus on employee relations, leadership coaching, and performance management.
- Experience supporting multiple locations in a retail, hospitality, restaurant, distribution, or other multi-unit environment preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing complex employee relations issues and workplace investigations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to influence and partner effectively with leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience using data and workforce metrics to identify trends and recommend solutions.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% throughout the assigned region.
Why Join Micro Center?
- Partner directly with retail leaders to influence culture, engagement, and business performance.
- Enjoy a highly visible role with significant impact across multiple store locations.
- Work for a company that values people, development, and career growth.
- Combine strategic HR partnership with hands-on field support.
- Be part of a team dedicated to creating an exceptional associate experience.
If you're a passionate HR professional who enjoys building relationships, solving people challenges, and supporting store teams where the work happens, we'd love to hear from you.
