About the Job The PLM Tech Pack Coordinator- Temp supports the Design team by entering, organizing, and maintaining approved tech-pack information in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. This is a detail-oriented, systems-focused role: the coordinator documents information provided by Design and other internal partners, checks records for completeness, and flags gaps for review. The role does not perform design work, make product or construction decisions, or communicate with factories.
What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities
- Enter and maintain tech-pack information in PLM, including style details, colorways, materials, trims, measurements, construction details, labels, artwork references, and other required fields based on approved source information.
- Upload, attach, name, and organize supporting files and references in the appropriate PLM records.
- Create and update PLM records, ensuring information is entered in the correct fields and follows established naming, formatting, and workflow conventions.
- Review entries for completeness, consistency, and accuracy against the provided source materials; identify missing, unclear, or conflicting information and route it to the appropriate internal Design contact for clarification.
- Track assigned work, status, and outstanding inputs; communicate progress and data-entry issues to internal stakeholders.
- Support routine PLM housekeeping, including correcting data-entry errors, maintaining organized records, and following version-control practices.
- Follow team procedures for handling confidential product information and meeting seasonal or milestone deadlines.
- Suggest process or data-quality improvements based on recurring issues, while escalating proposed changes for approval.
Success measures
- PLM records are entered accurately, completely, and on time based on approved source materials.
- Missing or conflicting information is identified and routed promptly rather than guessed or independently resolved.
- Supporting files and records are consistently organized and easy for internal teams to locate.
- Work remains within the role's defined scope, including no design decision-making and no factory communication.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in fashion design, fashion merchandising/marketing, and/or design
- Minimum of 2-3 years of design experience
- Specialized knowledge in the fields of men’s fashion, merchandising and technical design
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with structured data entry and document organization.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and business systems; experience with a PLM system is preferred.
- Ability to follow documented processes, manage repetitive work accurately, and meet deadlines across multiple styles or projects.
- Clear, professional communication with internal partners and sound judgment about when to flag missing or inconsistent information.
- Experience in apparel, product development, merchandising operations, or related workflow support is helpful but not required.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week from the New York office with long hours as necessary to meet design and product development cycles and deadlines
Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands · Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
- Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
- Hours regularly 40 hours per week
Note: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities or qualifications associated with this job.
