Part-Time Showroom Sales Associate

TL Floor and Design is a growing, locally owned flooring showroom based in Gainesville, Texas. We're hiring a Showroom Assistant to be the welcoming face of our business and help customers through the flooring selection and purchasing process. This is a long-term position with growth potential, ideal for someone who is personable, detail-oriented, and excited to be part of a small business. Position can either be a full-time or part-time position. The right candidate will be confident working with customers, managing multiple tasks, and supporting day-to-day showroom operations. No flooring experience is necessary we'll train the right person! Responsibilities: - Greet and assist walk-in customers in the showroom - Help customers select flooring samples and follow up on orders - Write estimates, send invoices, and prepare purchase orders - Communicate with vendors, installers, and clients to keep projects on track - Follow up with clients on samples and project progress - Reach out to builders, designers, and installers to introduce our services and build relationships - Assist with general showroom organization and operations Qualifications and Experience: - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Highly organized with strong attention to detail - Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks - Willing to learn new systems and product knowledge - Interest in design is a plus, but not required - Sales experience is a plus, but not required - Professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for a client facing retail environment - Looking for long-term employment with opportunities to grow within the company Schedule: Part-time: 25-30 hours per week Work Tuesday-Friday, 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM and 12:00 to 5:00 PM Work two Saturdays per month, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (If you work a Saturday, you'll have the option to be off Friday or work more than 20 hours) Some flexibility is available for the right candidate Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old to apply. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs minimum. Must be able to drive a forklift (training and certificate will be provided).
