Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities:

Assist/monitor/teach individuals with preparation of daytime activities; encourage good personal hygiene Meet with individuals (as needed) on an individual basis to discuss concerns, problems Supervise individuals in on and off-site activities Handle emergent situations appropriately Utilize crisis interventions when necessary Complete required documentation Provide first-aid assistance to all individuals and assist in the follow through on medical needs for individuals Assure individuals follow routines Performs any other duties as assigned by the Manager, Asst. Manager, and Administration Report suspected abuse & neglect to supervisor immediately (within one hour) Transport individuals to and from community outings

Requirements:

Valid NYS Drivers License for 2+ years required Minimum Education of High School Diploma/GED required
